Smart PMS

Planned maintenance, connected to the machinery.

Smart PMS is the planned maintenance system for the entire vessel — engines, machinery, and deck — built on the equipment hierarchies and running-hour data that already live in the platform. Maintenance jobs are scheduled by calendar interval, running hours, or condition triggers, generated as structured job orders with the procedures, permits, and spare parts each task requires, and closed out with the evidence that class and vetting inspectors expect to see. Running-hour counters update from onboard reporting and sensor feeds, driving interval-based jobs automatically so nothing depends on someone remembering to check a logbook. Spare parts management links every job to the parts it consumes, tracks stock levels across the fleet, and raises demand into Smart Procurement when minimum levels are breached — so the spares are on the quay before the job falls due. Class survey due-date tracking keeps the vessel's survey landscape — annual, intermediate, special, and machinery surveys — visible alongside the maintenance plan, with countdown alerts and readiness checklists that align maintenance windows with survey windows. Because Smart PMS shares its vessel model with Smart Vessel, every completed job, every counter reading, and every survey enriches the vessel's living record.

Key Capabilities

Planned Maintenance for Engines, Machinery & Deck

A complete maintenance plan covering the entire vessel — main and auxiliary engines, machinery systems, and deck equipment — with jobs scheduled by calendar interval, running hours, or condition triggers. Maintenance histories, manufacturer recommendations, and class requirements are built into each job definition.

Job Orders & Work Planning

Maintenance falls due as structured job orders carrying the procedures, safety permits, tools, and spare parts each task requires. Work planning views balance the workload across departments and voyage schedules, and completed jobs close out with counter readings, findings, and photographic evidence attached.

Running-Hour Counters

Running-hour counters update from onboard reporting and sensor feeds, driving hour-based maintenance intervals automatically. Counter histories reveal utilization patterns per equipment item, and discrepancy checks catch missed or implausible readings before they distort the maintenance schedule.

Spare Parts Management

Every job links to the parts it consumes, with stock levels tracked per vessel and across the fleet. Minimum-stock breaches raise demand into Smart Procurement automatically, and parts usage history sharpens both stocking levels and maintenance cost visibility per equipment item.

Class Survey Due-Date Tracking

Annual, intermediate, special, and machinery survey due dates tracked alongside the maintenance plan, with countdown alerts and readiness checklists. Maintenance windows align with survey windows, and completed surveys post back into the vessel record in Smart Vessel.

How It Works

1

Build the Maintenance Plan

Import equipment hierarchies from Smart Vessel and load maintenance job definitions from manufacturer recommendations, class requirements, and your existing PMS. Intervals, procedures, and spares links are structured from day one.

2

Generate & Execute Jobs

Jobs fall due automatically from calendar dates, running-hour counters, and condition triggers. Crews execute against structured job orders, recording findings, readings, and evidence as they close each task.

3

Keep Spares Ahead of Demand

Parts consumption updates stock levels in real time; minimum-level breaches raise requisitions into Smart Procurement so spares arrive before the jobs that need them fall due.

4

Stay Survey-Ready

Survey countdowns, readiness checklists, and the complete, evidenced maintenance history keep every class and flag survey a formality rather than a scramble.
