Platform Architecture
Under the hood of the maritime industry's most integrated intelligence platform. Four foundational pillars power every module, every workflow, and every insight across your fleet.
One Platform, Not Eleven Products
Most maritime technology stacks are assembled from disconnected point solutions — an MRV tool from one vendor, a routing optimizer from another, a compliance tracker bolted on top. Data flows between them through CSV exports, manual re-entry, or fragile integrations that break with every update.
CyberSmart was architected from day one as a single platform. All eleven modules share a common data layer, a unified AI engine, a consistent security framework, and a real-time processing pipeline. This means emissions data calculated in Smart EMRV is instantly available for FuelEU GHG intensity scoring, EUA cost allocation, CII trajectory modeling, and performance benchmarking — without any manual data movement. The compounding effect is transformative: each module you activate makes every other module more intelligent.
Four Foundational Pillars
Every capability in the CyberSmart platform is built on these four pillars. They are not features — they are the architectural foundation that makes maritime-grade intelligence at scale possible.
AI Engine
CyberSmart's AI engine is the intelligence layer that transforms raw maritime data into actionable decisions. It powers anomaly detection across emissions data, predictive maintenance scoring for hull and propulsion systems, weather-aware route optimization, and multi-scenario regulatory forecasting. The engine continuously learns from fleet-wide patterns, improving its accuracy with every voyage processed. Unlike bolt-on AI features, this engine is deeply embedded in every module — from Smart EMRV's reconciliation models to Smart Navigation's voyage planning algorithms.
Unified Data Layer
Every module in CyberSmart reads from and writes to a single, normalized data model. Vessel specifications, voyage records, fuel consumption logs, emissions calculations, regulatory submissions, and inspection findings all live in one authoritative data store. This eliminates the data silos that plague traditional maritime software stacks, where the same vessel data is duplicated across five or six disconnected systems. When Smart EMRV calculates emissions, that data is instantly available to Smart FuelEU for GHG intensity scoring, Smart EUA Settlement for carbon cost allocation, and Smart Performance for efficiency benchmarking — no CSV exports, no manual reconciliation.
Real-Time Processing
CyberSmart ingests and processes data in near real-time, with sensor-to-dashboard latency measured in minutes, not days. AIS positions, flow meter readings, engine telemetry, and noon report submissions are streamed through a high-throughput event pipeline that validates, enriches, and routes data to the appropriate modules within seconds. This enables operational use cases that batch-processing systems cannot support: live speed and trim advisory during voyages, real-time emissions tracking with 15-minute resolution, and instant compliance status updates as port calls are detected. The platform processes over 50 million data points per day across its client fleet.
Enterprise Security
Maritime operations demand uncompromising security. CyberSmart is built on a zero-trust architecture with end-to-end encryption for data in transit and at rest, role-based access control with granular permissions down to the vessel and module level, and full audit logging for every data access and modification. The platform meets the highest standards of data privacy and cybersecurity, is GDPR compliant, and aligned with the IMO's Maritime Cyber Risk Management guidelines (MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3). Multi-factor authentication, SSO integration with major identity providers, and IP allowlisting ensure that only authorized personnel access sensitive fleet data. Smart CyberSecurity extends this foundation with NIS2-specific compliance tools for operators in the EU.
How the Platform Works
From raw fleet data to regulatory-grade reporting and continuous operational improvement — this is the end-to-end data lifecycle that powers CyberSmart.
Connect Your Fleet Data
CyberSmart connects to your existing data sources through pre-built API adapters — noon report systems, AIS providers, mass flow meters, fuel management platforms, ERP systems, and port databases. Onboarding typically completes within 1-2 weeks for an entire fleet, with dedicated integration engineers handling the technical setup. No data migration is required — the platform ingests data from its source systems and maintains bi-directional sync.
Normalize and Enrich
Incoming data is automatically validated against maritime data quality standards, cross-referenced across multiple sources for consistency, and enriched with contextual metadata — vessel specifications, port characteristics, weather conditions, and regulatory parameters. The AI engine flags and resolves discrepancies, creating a single source of truth that every module can rely on.
Analyze and Act
With clean, unified data flowing into the platform, each module applies its specialized intelligence. Smart EMRV generates emissions reports. Smart Navigation optimizes routes. Smart Performance benchmarks vessels. Smart Compliance tracks deadlines. All modules operate on the same data simultaneously, producing consistent, correlated insights that inform both strategic planning and day-to-day operational decisions.
Report, Verify, and Improve
Automated reporting workflows generate regulation-compliant submissions for EU MRV, IMO DCS, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, CII, and national registries. Built-in verifier collaboration tools streamline the audit process. Post-reporting, the platform applies learnings to tighten data quality thresholds, refine AI models, and identify the highest-impact efficiency improvements for the next reporting period — creating a continuous optimization flywheel.
